Faith poverty makes men to run their career or enterprise by sight rather than by insight. The most important asset in a company is the company’s library and the company research-lab; but when man suffers poverty-of-faith he will assume the most important asset of a company is the company bank-saving and the company’s Chief Executive car-park.
When you watch an average American/European company founder, CEO, GM, HOD, or manager in an interview most often than not, there is a bookshelf behind his work desk. On the other hand, when you watch an average Nigerian corporate or enterprise executive in an interview, most often than not, his office is without a bookshelf. A man’s lack of value for knowledge is a proof that he doesn’t operate by faith because knowledge is the fuel of faith.
When a man runs his career or enterprise by sight rather than by faith he will have zero respect for mental-light, for insight, for knowledge; Which makes him to see no reason to set-up an active library for his business or career; not to talk of establishing a research and development lab or budget.
Faith gives compound multiplication power to money: by faith a man can invest $50 to buy a piece of canvas that afterwards creates an art master-piece with the canvas that sale for $50 million.
Without faith education becomes invalid. The lack of faith makes a professor to profess excuses rather than professing results. This explains why over 95% of African scientists/professors went into hiding by the outbreak of the corona virus.
If they had not been infected with poverty-of-faith, they would have risen up to the challenge to take the lead in championing the discovery of local content solutions to the corona virus. Rather, fear has made them to be so full of excuses. Excuses like, “we need government funding to run research”, “we need high-tech infrastructures to run world class science labs”, and so on and so forth.
Yet, Thomas Edison that invented the science lab was privileged to have only three months of formal education. Edison’s career as a scientist was start-funded by income from his personal vegetable farm venture, and Newspaper vendor and publishing venture which he operated as a child.
The Wright Brothers that invented the first powered airplane had no government funding when the lunched out. They launched out with punctuated secondary school education, funded by income from their bicycle-repair and eventually bicycle-making venture.
Our ancestors had no access to modern science labs, no access to government funding, and zero access to formal education. Yet, because they were so filled with the omnipotent force of faith they overcame excuses and invented garri from cassava, red cooking oil from palm kernel, kwilikwili from groundnut, thatch-roof from grass, medical drugs from plants.
Yet, you that is a trained scientist and a professor of science went into hiding by the outbreak of coronavirus. What a shame! It’s a shame that African Professors/scientists only settles to be bread winners to their families, rather than ultimately serving as light-givers to their nations.
For African overwhelming quiet essential Christian tribe of which I am part of: please, faith is not a meal ticket for free manna from heaven. Faith is rather an omnipotent excuse-crushing tool principally employed to create products, to build nations, to establish industries, to subdue and overcome the social and economic challenge to nation building. If our faith in God just enables us to receive miracle healing, miracle jobs, miracle breakthroughs, miracle promotion, then we are of all tribe most miserable.
Faith certainly is not just a tool for personal survival faith is principally a tool that makes you a savior to nations. The account of the heroes of faith in Hebrews says it all:
Heb 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Heb 11:33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Heb 11:34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. King james version
